The value of a Business Development Manager

This is a story about how a good newsagency marketing group can add real value of your business.

A newsXpress member recently complained to one of our Business Development Managers that they had been sent too much stock for the launch issue of a new magazine and planned to early return all of this stock.

The newsXpress Business Development Manager researched the new title and went back to the newsXpress member with a business case on why they should actively promote the new title instead of early returning it.

While not convinced, the newsXpress member followed the newsXpress BDM’s advice and the newsXpress commitment to embracing the magazine opportunity, promoting the title on the dance floor of their store.

They quickly sold out of the launch issue and urgently sought additional stock.  The economic benefit goes beyond the first issue as some customers have signed up to have each issue of the magazine put away.

This is a terrific success for the newsXpress member, their customers and newsXpress itself.

newsXpress is the only newagency marketing group in Australia offering Business Development Managers on a regular cycle working with members growing more profitable and enjoyable businesses.  BDM visits add value on practical and strategic issues newsXpress members confront in their businesses.  The visits are included in the newsXpress membership fee.

Our Business Development Managers are another newsXpress difference.
