These fun wine glass insulators are proving to be a terrific impulse purchase gift at newsXpress Cairns Central.  Located at the front of the shop on an aisle end, they are an easy additional purchase for shoppers browsing the busy and gift-fulled store.

Check out the terrific Christmas card display for Hallmark Christmas card at newsXpress Mt Sheridan in Cairns Queensland.  The display of single cards reflects an excellent range of cards for shoppers to there Mt Sheridan centre.  It is capped with bags and other items for the Christmas season.

There is a feature display of Hallmark sound cards … the best range of sound cards available in Australia thanks to the Hallmark commitment to quality and to using original artists.

Aisle end display promotes Christmas opportunities

This terrific aisle end display at newsXpress Wetherill Park beautifully promotes products from two newsXpress preferred suppliers – Theme Box Company and The Pudding Lady.

In the display, the products from the two companies visually compliment each other.  In a practical sense, the display encourages shoppers to purchase the gift and the gift packaging for the gift.

Both products represent a point of difference for newsXpress Wetherill Park over Christmas related offers from other retailers in the Stockland shopping centre.  It’s important for retailers to offer a point of difference and newsXpress supports this through a diverse product offering by way of it preferred supplier community.

Christmas ornaments at newsXpress Ocean Grove

newsXpress Ocean Grove has a terrific range of Christmas ornaments on display from newsXpress preferred supplier Gibson – as shown in the photo.

Having access to the Gibson range early in the year gives newsXpress members the opportunity to pick the best items from the Gibson range as well as from the Unity range.  Unity is a sister supplier to Gibson.

Clearing space for Christmas

newsXpress Wetherill Park has been running a clearance outpost in advance of Christmas.  Offering a range of products and promoting these using newsXpress collateral available to all members, the outpost clears space in-store and generates bonus revenue in the lead up to Christmas.

We have newsXpress suppliers who welcome opportunities to work with members by providing stock for clearance sales. Their products can supplement what may be available in-store to assist the business to reach the full potential of an outpost such as that run by newsXpress Wetherill Park.

Outposts are an important part of the retail mix in a shopping centre newsagency.  They can provide a burst in revenue as well as help shoppers in the centre discover the newsagency by way of the outpost.

Our merchandise team carefully selected the designs and negotiated their exclusive use for newsXpress members.

The photo card is particularly popular as is the pack with two exclusive Lego designs.

On top of the benefits of exclusive designs is the wonderful feeling of raising funds for the RSPCA.  Ten cents from every pack goes direct to the RSPCA.

Lovatts crossword promotion at newsXpress West Wyalong

New newsXpress member newsXpress West Wyalong has embraced our beacon branding magazine display principles as well as our key-brand co-location strategies with this placement of a column of Lovatts titles next to their weekly magazines.

We know the sales data from other newsXpress members that this co-location strategy drives an increase in sales for the promoted Lovatts titles.  We have also seen that this co-location move does not detract from sales in the regular crossword department.

Lovatts is a newsXpress preferred supplier and this co-location strategy is being promoted as part of that agreement.  The resulting increase is sales takes newsXpress members closer to achieving bonus margin, a holy grail for newsagents.

newsXpress West Wyalong is busy implementing other newsXpress strategies, evolving the business offer to reflect more of what newsXpress offers.  Our NSW Business Development Managers are working with them on these initiatives.
