All newsXpress members buying on the day went in the draw and newsXpress halls Head were the lucky winners of a handy $500 in tax free cash. The cash prize brought another fun element to the day.

The one day newsagency conference newsXpress hosted in Perth earlier this week was well attended and much appreciated based on feedback from participating newsagents and newsagency suppliers. Sharing business building ideas and strategies, the conference showed off the newsXpress point of difference beautifully … showing how membership of newsXpress delivers a different and valuable experience to participating newsagents. The boutique trade show which accompanied yesterday’s one-day newsagent conference hosted by newsXpress in Brisbane generated plenty of interest and activity. Our newsXpress member’s Meeting in Melbourne on Thursday this week we were presented with an excellent in-depth workshop on making money in the extended party category. The workshop was run by Sanbrook Brands, a newsXpress preferred supplier and the dominant supplier in Australia in this space. The workshop was followed by a factory tour, further enhancing the product knowledge of newsXpress members.
The meeting also included an excellent presentation from newsXpress National Merchandise Manager Rob Henderson on strategic visual merchandising (see photo). This delivered exclusive to newsXpress content on how to take preferred supplier product and newsXpress collateral and create compelling and basked building product displays.
Rich content like that presented in Melbourne two days ago demonstrates the total business value offered by newsXpress.

The action packed agenda covered a broad range of topics, demonstrating the value of the newsXpress approach to backing excellent supplier deals with strategies and tactics which newsXpress members can use to drive better business outcomes.

A key feature of our regular member meetings other than group discussions about new marketing initiatives, the sharing of business ideas and networking is the presentation of supplier offers and deals, some exclusive to newsXpress.
A range of products for Father’s Day, Christmas and general sale from preferred suppliers such as Cheeki Trading, Ikon Collectibles, Hallmark and Arlec was presented and keenly sought by members as they recognised the value of group trading terms and ‘new money’ categories.
The photo to the left shows several Queensland members milling around a table of sample products, the important part of this interaction is the ability to see and feel the product rather than purchase blind from a catalogue or on a sales reps advice.
