Four wheels move the body – Two wheels move the soul at newsXpress Albany

store-photos-feb-2010-021.jpgHamish Cameron and his team at newsXpress Albany think outside the square in order to stay ahead in the game of modern retailing, and this is best exemplified by their recent front window display which capitalised on the annual Ulysees Motorcycle Club AGM held this year in Albany.

Always a great source of retail inspiration are local events, and in this case the town population increased by a whopping 20% as bikers from all over the state congregated on the township and straight into familiar territory as they encountered a brilliantly conceived and constructed display in the front of the newsXpress windows featuring a brand new Harley Davison surrounded by the latest Biking magazines, books, toys, gifts and extra tires just to complete the image.

Through a little bit of good luck, and a lot of good design the bike organised to be the centrepiece of this innovative display was corporate red and black giving Hamish a  further branding kick in the right direction. While the team at Albany make a habit of undertaking elaborate themes in their windows this activity should not be restricted to just this store, with a little research and a lot of imagination all newsXpressers can create their own theatre!
