Baked and Delicious looks delicious in Pakenham

newsXpress Pakenham created a terrific shop front display prommoting the new baked and delicious partwork.  Spread across the window and facing onto main Street, the display features some delicious cupcakes showing the results of following issue 1 of the part series.

Cars 2 Display at newsXpress Bairnsdale

newsXpress Wyalla Plaza runs Book and Stationery Sale

bookstat-whyalla.JPGnewsXpress Wyalla Plaza has been running a combines books and stationery sale, making the most of tax time offers and the recent school holidays.  With some good in-store energy, the sales have given the business a nice boost and shown off some excellent product at highly competitive prices.

Using newsXpress provided collateral the Wyalla Plaza team have been able to promote an excellent value proposition around respected brands covered in the sales.  In addition to printed large format posters, they have also made excellent use of newsXpress collateral from our corporate website.

Launching Maxim Magazine in Australia

The publisher of Maxim provided helpful briefing information to newsXpress members in advance of the launch so that we could make the most of this high-profile opportunity.

newsXpress stores have been provided with plenty of stock and excellent promotional material with which to drive sales of the new title.

Bonus Toy Products Promote Value

games.JPGPlenty of newsXpress locations are enjoying success with toy products thanks to bonus deals from our toy supplier.  Being able to sell a brand name game like Monopoly with a bonus name brand game for free helps us play is a completely unique space when it comes to the pricing of toys and games.  It is deals like this which allow newsXpress outlets to demonstrate excellent value and show off the newsXpress difference.  The deals enable us to compete with big toy outlets like Big W, target and K Mart without having to compete on price – and we get to do this while maintaining a healthy and above average margin. All of this is available to newsXpress members thanks to the excellent work of our national merchandise team.  Better buying is what makes us competitive.

Winter Warmers Warm Rosebud

warmers-rosebud.JPGThe range of Winter Warmers on display at newsXpress Rosebud has been a hit.  These microwaveable items are a perfect gift or personal treat for winter, especially in Melbourne over the last few weeks.  Customers love them and this drives good word of mouth traffic.  They also work very well as an impulse purchase.

It is innovative items like this which play a role in newsXpress stores experiencing double digit sales growth in the gift space over the last quarter.

With more preferred suppliers than any other newsagency marketing group and more coming on board, newsXpress is well positioned to continue to drive good outcomes in the gift space.

Magazine Impulse Units Drive Sales at Ascot Vale

Selling Angry Birds Helps Drive iTunes and Other Digital Sales

Since we sell iTunes cards, the plush items give us a connection to the game.  The plush makes us more relevant, better connected, hip in the eyes of Angry Birds fans. You can see it on their faces when they see the plush, for many it is the first time they discovered that they could ur Angry Birds plush. That they made the discovery in newsXpress is wonderful for us and for our brand.

This is newsXpress innovation on show.  Product leadership which separates us from other newsagency marketing groups.

Massive Book Sale at Belconnen ACT

books-belconnen.jpgKudos to newsXpress Belconnen for running their first ever massive book sale in Westfield Belconnen, ACT.  They have gone all out offering an excellent range of books at competitive prices.  They have every right to be proud of the great deals they are bringing to Westfield Belconnen shoppers.  Easy to browse and shop, the massive book sale outpost cannot be missed by shoppers in the Westfield Belconnen mall.

The book sale was put together in partnership with a newsXpress preferred supplier, ensuring access to good deal book stock and laying out the outpost for maximum impact and sales results.

ATM at newsXpress Ascot Vale in Union Road

Providing an excellent and safe customer service, the ATM offer enhances the newsXpress shopper experience.  At newsXpress Ascot Vale the ATM is especially useful for Union Road shoppers who prefer to withdraw cash from the bank in a safe indoors environment.

newsXpress has preferred terms around the supply of these ATMs, making the installation in our stores hassle free and quite beneficial.

Tour de France Promotion at newsXpress Bairnsdale

magtdf.JPGnewsXpress Bairnsdale ran an excellent promotion for the Tour de France guide.  Every shopper entering the store could easily see the display.  It created a connection between the business and the great event … became a good talking point.

Outside of sales of the Tour de France program sales there is the benefit the excitement and change that the display brings to the business.  This is beneficial outside the magazine department as it reinforces the relevance of the business.

At newsXpress stores across Australia we are enjoying excellent results from magazine sales thanks to our creative engagement with the category.  This success generates incremental success in other retail departments.

Magazine Club Card Drives Magazine Sales

This is another newsXpress point of difference.  It is part of our broader magazine growth strategy which sets newsXpress apart operationally and commercially from other newsagencies.
